Syracuse football is set to hire Dale Williams as its offensive line coach, according to a report from FootballScoop. Williams was a Senior Quality Control Specialist at Louisville last season following a six year stint as the offensive line coach at Purdue prior to that.

Dale Williams comes to the Ville as a senior quality control coach while boasting 25 years of coaching experience after serving as the offensive line coach at Purdue University under UofL head coach Jeff Brohm from 2017-22. 

During his time in West Lafayette, Williams helped the Boilermakers to two bowl victories and the 2022 Big Ten West championship. 

He also coached the offensive line under Brohm at Western Kentucky during the 2016 season that saw the Hilltoppers win both the Conference USA championship and the Boca Raton Bowl while boasting the top scoring offense in the nation at 45.5 points per game. 

Williams has also coached at the high school level, spending two years at Lake Worth High School from 2012-14 after beginning his collegiate coaching career with stops at Florida Atlantic, Findlay, Gardner Webb, and North Greenville College from 1996-2011. 

Williams was also a graduate assistant at West Virginia University, where he earned a master of science in athletic coaching in 1996 and a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts in 1994.
