Texas A&M's 2022 recruiting class was the No. 1 rated group of prospects in rankings history. Two years after that talented batch of prospects signed their national letters of intent, the head coach who recruited them was fired, and many of those top names entered the transfer portal. Wide receiver Evan Stewart is one of those names - Stewart was one of America's top pass catchers in high school and backed up the hype during his two seasons with the Aggies.
Stewart appeared in eight games in 2023, totaling 38 catches for 514 yards and four touchdowns. He was a Freshman All-American in 2022, eclipsing 600 yards on 53 catches. He's the No. 1 available player in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, and the Vols are already showing interest.

There are many variables present, but Stewart's visit plans will quickly tell us what teams are making the biggest push. Tennessee hopes to get him on campus in early January to give themselves a shot at another big-time receiver addition in the portal. They've already added Tulane wide receiver Chris Brazzell, a 2023 Freshman All-American, and Notre Dame tight end Holden Staes, the No. 1 tight end in the transfer portal.
