PLAYERS: Johnny Manziel
The No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies (3-1) face their first road test of the season on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. EST on ESPN2 against the Arkansas Razorbacks (3-1), who are coming off a hard-fought 28-24 loss on the road against Rutgers. Arkansas’ new coach Bret Bielema has tried to mold the Hogs into the image of his Wisconsin program. He won at Wisconsin with an overpowering running game and a stingy defense.  Statistically, Arkansas appears to be exactly that. The Razorbacks are averaging 246 yards rushing per game on offense and 397.5 total yards per game. On defense Arkansas is allowing only 93 yards rushing on three yards per attempts and 289.8 total yards per game. Obviously the numbers are skewed because of the team’s relatively weak non-conference schedule.  Rutgers struggled to run the ball, but the Scarlet Knights managed to pass for 346 yards in their win against the Razorbacks. Let’s take a look at what Arkansas has to offer on offense and defense. Photo Via stadium.dallascowboys...

Drake says Johnny Manziel got OVO tattoo before two were friends

Johnny Manziel and Drake have been close friends since the two met several months ago — an event Manziel has referred to as the highlight of his offseason. Since the meeting, we have seen Drake shout out to Manziel on Twitter and Manziel frequently rocking “OVO” gear, which stands for October’s Very Own (Drake’s birthday […]

Texas A&M Football: Aggies ready to take down the Hogs

Texas A&M takes on Arkansas this Saturday in their first road game of the season. If the Aggies can pull it off, this will be their first SEC win of the season. Both teams are entering the field with 3-1 records, and Texas A&M seems to have the advantage after almost taking down No. 1 ranked Alabama. Arkansas has come out on top versus Louisiana, Samford, and Southern Miss...

A&M booster talks Johnny Manziel, behind the scenes of program

When we broke the news that Johnny Manziel had been booted from the Manning Passing Academy in July, we faced a lot of backlash from Texas A&M fans. One reader in particular, was very harsh in his critiques of our reporting. He identified himself as a Texas A&M booster who had donated north of six figures to the program in just the past few years. When the dust settled and...

Texas A&M Football: Who is Mike Evans?

When Texas A&M played Alabama in their third game of the season quarterback Johnny Manziel connected beautifully with wide receiver Mike Evans. Who was this 6-foot-5 red-shirt sophomore that gave the Crimson Tide a run for their money? Evans is a play maker who is quick on his feet despite his size. With that being said, let’s take a look at his past year at Texas A&M:...

Young Aggies ready for first road test

Texas A&M's first year in the SEC last season was filled by dominant play on the road at the Aggies went 7-0 away from Kyle Field. The 10th-ranked Aggies will make road trip No. 1 Saturday when they play at SEC West rival Arkansas. While road success in 2012 would figure to give a team an idea of what to expect, Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin quickly dismissed that Wednesday...

Mayweather to bet on Manziel again

Clearly, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a Johnny Football fan. The champ already claims to have won $200,000 in Texas A&M's victory vs. Southern Methodist last week: Congratulations @JManziel2 for putting on a fantastic show. He may not be able to make money off himself but I can. -- Floyd Mayweather (@FloydMayweather) September 22, 2013 And now the...

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By KRISTIE RIEKEN AP Sports Writer No. 10 Texas A&M needed someone to step up following the graduation of several key receivers. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Says He’s Betting $300,000 on Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M This Weekend

The idea that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would bet $5.9 million on an NBA playoff game is ridiculous, the boxer says. The idea that he would drop 300 grand on a Texas A&M game, however, is not. Mayweather was hyping the Aggies — or, more specifically, Johnny Manziel — on Wednesday when he went on Howard Stern‘s radio show. While Mayweather denied ever betting $5.9 million on...
