Tomlinson and Turner Both On Pace For 1,000 Yards

Through four games, San Diego's 1-2 running back punch of LaDainian Tomlinson and Michael Turner are on pace to become the fourth pair of teammates to rush for 1,000 yards in the same season. LT is on pace for 1,344 yards while Turner is on pace to finish with 1,108. If they were to accomplish this feat, however, they would not be the first pair to do it under coach Martry Schottenheimer. Earnest Byner and Kevin Mack both topped a grand playing Martyball in 1985. The other duos to pull this off were Larry Csonka and Mercury Morris for the '72 Dolphins and the Steelers' Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier in 1976.
