Trey Lance claims he has 'the potential to be the best quarterback in this class'

Of the quarterbacks expected to be taken in the first round, Trey Lance has become the most divisive. While some see him as a raw talent with the highest ceiling in the class, others feel that he is a future bust that teams should avoid.

When asked about his potential, Lance made it clear that he believes that he has what it takes to succeed in the NFL and said that he thinks he could end up being the best quarterback in the entire draft.

"I'm confident in myself, and I believe in myself," Lance said on Good Morning Football." "I think I have the potential to be the best quarterback in this class. I understand obviously there's gonna be a lot of learning to do, and I think, like I said, just as far as this quarterback class, I want them all to do well. I'm excited to see what they do and rooting for them all the same."

The biggest question Lance is currently facing is which team will end up picking him on draft night. Most think he will be the fifth quarterback taken, though others think he could end up jumping Justin Fields or Mac Jones.
