In today’s technologically savvy world, officials in any position need to make the most out of the social networking people use every day in order to publicize major transactions. Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne knows this is necessary, which is why he hit a grand slam in announcing the hiring of Rich Rodriguez to replace Mike Stoops as Wildcats head coach. Byrne made the announcement of the hire of the former Michigan and West Virginia head coach on Twitter, tweeting “And the new Arizona football coach and his family is…” with a link to a picture of Byrne with Rich Rodriguez and his wife and kids.

Foles suffers rib contusion, hopes to play
