UCLA Football: Former Cal LB Primed For Epic Vengeance Game, Opines Teammate
USA TODAY Sports

Your UCLA Bruins will be taking on the Cal Golden Bears from the Rose Bowl this weekend, and they want to make sure that they don't take them for granted. Coming off a massive win over the USC Trojans a week ago, UCLA doesn't want to have a letdown in their final game.

The Bruins know that this game against Cal won’t come easy, and they want to make sure they take care of business to finish the regular season. And linebacker Darius Muasau knows that it will be a battle between the teams, but that UCLA may have an edge due to a former member of the Golden Bears.

“Muasau expects a big game Saturday from former Cal inside linebacker Oluwafemi Oladejo, who made 17 tackles against the Bruins last season. The junior announced his commitment to UCLA on Twitter on the same day he entered the transfer portal in early December.”

Per Steve Galluzzo of The LA Times

Oladejo has been great for the Bruins this season, posting 43 tackles, with 2.5 of them being for loss. He has also added in 0.5 sacks and one interception.

His presence along the defense has allowed this unit to take off, and it has been a big reason why they’ve been so good. He should be hyped up and motivated to go against his former team to finish the year.

“Seeing him ball against us last year and now having him with us, it’s a great feeling to have him playing right next to me,” Muasau said. “It’s going to be a personal game for him going against his old team. You can tell his energy is different this week, he’s bringing a whole new vibe and aura to the team and he’s really excited to compete.”

The Bruins want to end the year on a high note and send themselves into the offseason with a second straight win. They have the talent to make it happen but will need to come into the game prepared and ready to go.
