Apparently, there is an actual tradition at UCLA called "Over the Wall," where football players ditch practice by scaling the practice facility walls. On Tuesday, UCLA players ditched through a gate instead, but nevertheless drew heavy criticism from their coach, high school coaches and recruits attending the practice, and fans. The tradition dates back 30 years- it was suspended temporarily, but actually reinstated by a former UCLA football coach. "I guess that's why they're in the Lay's Potato Chips Bowl every year," said Chris Pascal, La Palma Kennedy High's coach.
