UCLA star running back Carson Steele just had his best game of the season after rushing for 76 yards and scoring a trio of touchdowns against the Stanford Cardinals.

Steele was an amazing bell-cow runningback at Ball State, recording 289 carries for 1,556 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2022 before transferring to the Bruins.

Steele is on pace to repeat those stats, already having 113 carries for 599 rushing yards and six touchdowns. He has also added nine catches for 64 yards and another score.

The third-year running back has been a massive reason for the Bruins' success this season, being able to break down and tire out defenses.

Steele's play, along with the suffocating defense of the Bruins with one of the best pass rush units in the nation, combine for a team that can win gritty close games as well as blow teams out while not letting their foot off the gas.

Steele is not alone in this deadly rushing game for the Bruins; as a team, the Bruins are averaging 215 yards a game and 5 yards a carry.

Sophomore TJ Harden has also been a hard-nosed runner, tallying 68 carries and 388 yards with four touchdowns as well.

This solid running game will have to show up for the Bruins as the Colorado Buffaloes will walk into the Rose Bowl, a team allowing 157 yards a game to opponents.
