Daily Cardinal:
Campus reporters are starting to talk to University of Wisconsin marching band members about their first-hand knowledge about the hazing rituals that go on in the program. One student interviewed said that the women in the marching band program had no reasons to speak with officials or the press, and that the actions taken by Chancellor John C. Wiley make the student "confused."
As it turns out, hazing has been going on for years, according to upperclassmen band members, but it "has been getting more tame as the years go on." Still, the Chancellor decided to act tough.
