One of Washington’s star wide receivers wasted no time making a decision about his future.

Huskies wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk is declaring for the NFL Draft, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported on Tuesday.

Polk’s decision comes just half a day after the Huskies lost 34-13 to Michigan in the College Football Playoff National Championship at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Monday night.

Polk has been at Washington for the last three seasons after beginning his career at Texas Tech.

Polk was the No. 2 receiving threat for the Huskies this season behind Rome Odunze, who had 92 catches for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns in Washington’s high-powered offense. Polk had 69 catches for 1,159 yards and nine touchdowns.

Polk was particularly heartbroken over Washington’s loss. He was photographed sitting on the field with confetti around following Michigan’s win.

Now, he will focus his efforts on his pro career.
