Watch: Deion Sanders shares touching moment with son Shilo after pick-six

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders has taken center stage at Colorado — and for good reason. But for at least one moment on Saturday against Colorado State, Shedeur’s brother, Shilo, took the spotlight at Folsom Field in Boulder.

Midway through the first quarter of the Rocky Mountain showdown, the older Sanders brother picked off Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi deep inside Colorado territory. Sanders returned the interception for an epic 80-yard pick-six. The score gave Colorado a 7-0 lead.

Deion Sanders made sure to give his son the praise he deserved after the defensive play. The father and son shared a heartfelt moment on the sidelines after the TD.

The Hall of Fame defensive back knows a thing or two about converting on a pick-six. Coach Prime tallied nine interception returns for a touchdown in his NFL career, tied for fifth-most in history. Watching his son complete one was surely a moment the elder Sanders could appreciate.

Shilo Sanders is in his fifth season of college football but still has a year of eligibility left after redshirting during his first year at South Carolina. The 23-year-old safety’s pick-six on Saturday was the first of his college career.
