Watch: Oregon mascot hilariously loses head while trolling 'Prime Time'

The Oregon faithful were ready to greet big, bad Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders on Saturday, but, in all the excitement, the Ducks mascot lost its head.

Ahead of Saturday's big matchup, The Oregon Duck, fit with sunglasses and a white cowboy hat, began to smash a clock with "PRIME" written on the side to bits.

Only, the Duck did so with so much vigor that its head popped off, prompting a hasty exit to the locker room.

While hilarious, a mascot losing its head in the heat of the moment shows what kind of emotion Colorado draws out of opposing teams and their fans. As was the case with Colorado's previous opponents, the game with Oregon became personal before kickoff.

Well ahead of Saturday's contest, a video of Coach Sanders, Hall of Fame wideout Terrell Owens and several Colorado players walking on the Oregon field surfaced. One player, safety Trevor Woods, can be seen stomping on the Ducks midfield logo.

Love them or hate them, Colorado has brought quite a buzz to college football. Each week is filled with headlines and sound bytes, creating an exciting atmosphere wherever Colorado goes, and there seems to be no signs of that slowing down.
