Leading up to the game, Mitchell, a Georgia transfer, talked about making it to his third straight CFP.

"First of all, it has been great teams that I have been fortunate to play on and participate with. It was great teams and great leadership," Mitchell said. "Being able to lean on guys knowing that you are not alone while you’re doing this. It is exciting and fun to have three 15 game seasons. It’s all worth it the whole year round. Offseason workouts, to fall camp to summer workouts, everything led to this stage here I am excited for everything."

Mitchell has had one of the most interesting careers in college football. Limited by injuries during his time at Georgia, the Houston native still managed to come up clutch in the biggest games in back-to-back years for the Dawgs.

He never dominated the stat sheet during his time in Athens. As a result, his first year in Austin has been by far his best statistical collegiate season. Headed into Monday, he has 51 catches for 813 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns this season.

In two years at Georgia, he had a combined 38 catches for 560 yards and seven touchdowns.
