The latest episode in the highly acclaimed "Raising Canes" series produced by the University of Miami Athletic Department focuses the camera squarely on the broad shoulders of Hurricane running back Mike James. As revealed in the Raising Canes feature below, James' personal story of turning tragedy into triumph is as heartwarming as it is motivational.  As most UM fans know Mike lost his mother suddenly last year in a tragic car accident in Central Florida.  But rather than allow that incident to drag him down into despair James instead used that event to continue to fuel his already solid determination to succeed.
