It's safe to say Randy Johnson's tenure has been a disappointment. Sure, he's won 17 games in each of his last two years. But his ERA has skyrocketed, his innings pitched has fallen, and his strikeouts are also way down. More importantly, he hasn't won a playoff game in pinstripes. The Yankees are looking to get younger and less egotistical in the clubhouse and I think it's a far better strategy than the obsessive-compulsive spending of years past.

The payroll has also gone down from last year, despite the addition of Abreu. Ca$h is in control, cleaning up George's mess, and ready to kick some ass.

In my opinion, Steinbrenner really crossed the karma line picking up the same guy who beat the Yankees in the World Season 2001. Johnson has done nothing in New York and I'll be happy to see him go. But is there actually a team out there willing to pay for him?
