Hyper-specific predictions for the first big day of the season.
• Notre Dame will score a touchdown on its first possession against Nevada on (or set up by) a long pass from Jimmy Clausen to either Golden Tate or Michael Floyd.
• At least one punt in the BYU-Oklahoma game will hit the low-hanging, hi-def scoreboard in Jerry's Space Palace, causing mass confusion and a begrudging do-over.
• Oklahoma State will be dismayed with the lack of production from their vaunted offense by halftime of the Cowboys' opener with Georgia, and OSU will only hit 20 points in the second half of the fourth quarter.
• Alabama will score an early touchdown against Virginia Tech, and score a late touchdown, but won't put the ball in the end zone in between in a low-scoring slugfest.
• Quarterback Jake Locker will complete fewer than half of his passes and Washington won't score against LSU until the Huskies are at least three scores in the hole in Steve Sarkisian&...
