Bengals Release Two Punters; Clears the Way for Rookie Huber
The Bengals today let go of two punters, meaning that the job basically belongs to fifth-round draft pick Kevin Huber. Kyle Larson and Ryan Plackemeier were let go Tuesday. The Bengals claimed Plackemeier off waivers on February 13th. He punted for Seattle and Washington last season.

Bengals Cut Kyle Larson, Ryan Plackemeier
After drafting University of Cincinnati punter Kevin Huber in the fifth round last weekend, the Cincinnati Bengals have cut incumbent punter Kyle Larson.
Larson, statistically the league’s worst punter last season, had just signed a new deal with the Bengals in 2008.

Football Closes Out Record-Setting NFL Draft With Five Day-Two Selections
The University of Cincinnati football team had a record-setting NFL Draft with five selections on day two of the annual event for six overall draft picks. Kevin Huber (fifth), DeAngelo Smith (fifth), Brandon Underwood (sixth), Mike Mickens (sixth), and Trevor Canfield (seventh) all were second-day picks, while Connor Barwin (second) was a day-one choice.
