Defensive end leaving Ohio State

Defensive end Jamal Marcus has left the Ohio State football program. A native of Durham, North Carolina, Marcus had played two seasons at Ohio State, one at linebacker and one at defensive end. He made his only start in last January's Orange Bowl following the suspension of Noah Spence but hadn't participated in the spring due to academic issues. Ohio State did not release a statement...

Report: Ohio State dismisses DE Jamal Marcus, WR Brandon Ojikutu.

Eleven Warriors is reporting that two members of the Ohio State football team are ex-Buckeyes. Defensive end Jamal Marcus and wide receiver Brandon Ojikutu were reportedly both dismissed for the ever-vague "violation of team rules."Marcus was kept on the sidelines during the final two weeks of spring practice for what is reported as "academic constraints."(via Eleven Warriors)
