NORTH CAROLINA STATE WOLFPACK RUMORS & GOSSIP

Senior Bowl Q&A: Audie Cole

Hard-nosed North Carolina State linebacker Audie Cole made his case with the NFL brass this week at the Senior Bowl. For the Wolfpack, Cole was ultra-productive with 328 career tackles, 32 1/2 tackles for losses and 15 sacks. The 6-foot-4, 258-pounder was a semifinalist for the Butkus Award and led the team in tackles for the past three seasons.

NCAA Football Division I Interception Leader-Bryce Robertson

Although N.C State David Amerson leads the FBS in interceptions with 11, he certainly does not lead the NCAA. The current leader in interceptions is Bucknell’s defensive back Bryce Robertson with 13. What? You’ve never heard of him? Well now you have! Robertson as a Senior has emerged as the leader for this Bison defense, and while doing so, he has created the treacherous Robertson...

Hard-Hitting Wolfpack: FB Taylor Gentry

Still, Gentry has made a tremendous mark on the Wolfpack football program in other ways since his arrival as a preferred walk-on in Raleigh in 2008, pulling...

Riveting Realities: Boston College at N.C. State

Don’t you get tired of talking heads, print journalists, and anyone that just happened to have learned some HTML over a holiday weekend a few years ago (ahem, Ciaran) ramming their college football analysis down your throats on a weekly basis? Sure, we all do. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone just compiled some allegedly intriguing facts about an upcoming match-up, and then let...

Russell Wilson Tops CFN's ACC Quarterbacks List

From CFN: 1. Russell Wilson, Jr. NC State The Wolfpack didn’t have the services of junior Wilson in the spring, but all the program cares about is whether or not he’s available in the fall. One of the ACC’s premier quarterbacks, he’s also a talented second baseman, which has some concerned he might make baseball a full-time gig. That would hurt since he’s spent the last...
