Auburn Suspends Star RB Michael Dyer From Chick-fil-A Bowl
The Auburn Tigers have suspended All-SEC running back Michael Dyer from the Chick-fil-A Bowl for violating an undisclosed team rule.
Dyer is one of the leading running backs in the nation and was instrumental in helping Auburn win the BCS National Championship Game last January. In fact, he was named offensive MVP for that game.
Dyer is the first Auburn player to rush for...

Miami Hurricanes are getting nowhere with Randy Shannon
Where is Michael Irvin and the smack talking Miami Hurricanes of old? No where to be seen in the South Florida kilo dropping MIA; this Miami Hurricanes team are getting blasted into the hemisphere by the likes of Virginia. Yes, the friggin’ Virginia Cavaliers. Jacory Harris is obviously one of the most over hyped and [...]

Five Cavaliers Leave Virginia Football
Attrition is striking the Virginia Football roster this spring, as five Cavaliers are leaving the program, with question marks on several more. Javaris Brown, Lamar Milstead, Tory Allen-Ford, Quintin Hunter and Javanti Sparrow won't be on the 2010 roster next season for various reason, head coach Mike London said on Friday.

Virginia wrapped up their worst season since 1986 with a 42-13 loss to Virginia Tech. Pregame: Maryland vs. Virginia
As Expatriate said, we all are busy this week, so this preview will be shorter than normal. After last week's loss to Wake Forest, Maryland returns to College Park for homecoming as they take on the Virginia Cavaliers. Both Maryland (2-4) and Virginia (2-3) have had rough starts plus both coaching staffs are on the hot seat, but UVA has won its last two against UNC and Indiana...

Looking at Maryland-Virginia
Somehow, the Terps are going to have to protect quarterback Chris Turner against Virginia and create some holes for the dormant running game.
In other words, I see the key to the game as how effective -- or not -- Maryland's offensive line can be.
That's a concern in every game, of course. But blocking for the run game is especially important on Saturday because the...

WAHOO A.D. ENDORSES GROH
Uh-oh...According the Richmond Times-Dispatch, UVa Athletic Director Craig Littlepage was emphatic last night when asked about the 2009 football season. "Al Groh will be our head coach," Littlepage said via e-mail. It would cost the Wahoos more than $5 million to buy Groh out...

The Irony of Signage and UVA Football
The University of Virginia banned students and fans from bringing signs to games at the start of this football season. Now, with the Cavaliers mired in a 1-3 start, the university is lifting the ban and encouraging public displays of sexual innuendo and political stances henceforth.

Top Reasons Virginia Must Fire Al Groh
The Virginia Cavaliers are an absolute train wreck. There is no other way to put it, and anyone who saw their 31-3 lost to Duke would be forced to agree. Virginia is last in about every statistical category in the ACC, and with games left against Maryland, ECU, Clemson, Wake, and Va Tech the Hoos are guaranteed to go bellow 500. There's a distinct chance that they will not win...

2008 Konica Minolta Gator Bowl: Texas Tech vs. UVA
Here is a nice breakdown of the Bowl Game tomorrow by a Virginia fan who will be at the game. I guess you could say he is not too confident and he thinks Michael Crabtree will absolutely dominate. I'm actually going to take his advice and lay down some cash on this game.

Big 12 Match-up Texas Longhorns Face off against the Nebraska Cornhuskers
Ladies and gentlemen, who would've thought this? After getting thrashed by the Wyoming Cowboys in Laramie 23-3, the Virginia Cavaliers(7-1, 4-0 ACC) have rattled off seven straight wins, matching the longest winning streak in school history. Five of those wins have come by 5 points or less and it is safe to say that no other team in the country has matched the "Cardiac Cavaliers...

2007 Football Recruiting Roundup: Virgina Cavaliers (ACC)
Fantasy College Impact:
Jameel Sewell looks to have the starting QB job locked up after a 1342 PaYd, 5 PaTD, 6 PaINT, 200 RuYd, 4 RuTD sophomore season. Incoming 4-star recruit Peter Lalich should be a good player to redshirt if your league allows that type of roster spot.
Jason Snelling is gone, as are his 772 RuYd, 7 RuTD, 286 ReYd. This leaves the door open for a host of...
