WSU linebacker C.J. Mizell kicked off team by Coach Leach
This was a long time coming wasn't it WSU Cougars fans?
I mean isn't this the same guy who didn't dress for the second half of the apple cup? Real leadership there.
Kudo's to Coach Leach for making an example of this guy. He needed to put his stamp on the team in an authoritative way. Enter Meathead...errrr Mizell.

Mike Leach to Washington State?
I don’t know if anyone else is happy with this, but I love the idea of Leach in the PAC 12. I’m totally impressed with Washington State and this move. After their past few coaching hires,... This is just a summary, visit our site to read the rest. Thanks.

Washington State fires Wulff as coach
Washington State football coach Paul Wulff has been fired.
The university said Tuesday that Wulff was let go after four years at the helm.
Wulff is 9-40 in his four seasons at Washington State, including a 4-8 record this season that doubled the Cougars' win total from 2010 but failed to quiet critics.
Wulff had one year remaining on his contract and was guaranteed a year...

Yesterday, Washington State suffered a loss at the hands of Utah 30-27 in overtime. Today, however, injury was added to the insult of the loss with the announcement made by Washington State that starting quarterback Connor Halliday suffered a lacerated liver during the game.

Desperate Wulff puts his future in hands of a freshman quarterback
The excuses were getting old, so it was nice to see Paul Wulff’s Washington State Cougars pull off what was probably their best win of the paltry nine victories they have since Wulff arrived in 2008.
It would be nice to say it was a stroke of coaching genius on Wulff’s part to insert freshman Connor Halliday as the quarterback, but it was nothing more than a desperation move...

Bill Moos and the fundraising factor
I was just in the middle of writing a fundraising article with some thinking around what Bill Moos is likely to do early in his term. It turns out that I didn't need to. Cougcenter absolutely nails how it's likely going to play out early on in Bill Moos's tenure. Read the article here: CougCenter

The Story on Sterk
It was odd driving to the Cougar football event last night knowing that Jim Sterk was going to be noticeably absent. The inevitable questions would lead to rumors and then finally answers. It was interesting to watch it unfold. What was even more telling was the reaction of those I talked to about it and how they were feeling. No one really felt the sadness like they did when Mike...

Wazzu knocked woozy again as another nightmare season fades to black
Washington 30, Washington State 0. There's no dignity in getting trounced 30-0 by your cross-state neighbor, or putting the finishing touches on another nightmare "rebuilding" season with no apparent positives of any kind. For Washington State, I suppose there's a quiet dignity in just continuing to show up every week when this is the reality of your season as it comes to a close...
