For his arrest, what should be Sammy Watkins’ punishment?
Friday night Clemson’s star receiver Sammy Watkin’s was arrested for possession of marijuana and a possession of a controlled substance. Simply put it was bonehead mistake by Watkins. By all accounts Watkins “had” been a model student and athlete. This was a surprise and a shock to Clemson football fans. If I had to name some of the least likely Tiger...

Dabo Swinney finds a sport that you can score less than 70 and still win
You know the old saying, “If you can’t beat them find a sport in which you can win while scoring less than 70.” Well Dabo Swinney did just that by participating in and winning the Wells Fargo Championship Wednesday morning Pro-Am with a team score of 58. This just so happens to be 12 strokes fewer than what Swinney’s Tigers gave up in the Orange Bowl several months back...

Titans Select Clemson CB Coty Sensabaugh (Rd.4, No. 115)
With the 115th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Titans select Coty Sensabaugh, CB (Clemson). Developing cornerback with a nice feel for coverage. Fluid transitioning off the line with opponents, mixes it up throughout the route and plays heads-up football. Works to keep the action in front of him, quickly locates the pass in the air and effectively blankets receivers out of...

Jaguars Select Clemson DE Andre Branch (Rd.2, No.38)
With the 38th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jaguars select Andre Branch, DE (Clemson). The big, athletic Branch uses his flexibility to dip around linemen and reach the backfield. He has an uncanny knack for beating blocks and moving past linemen, and has the burst to close once he's there. He uses his hands well and sets the edge nicely against the run, but his skill...

Dabo Swinney Gives Back To Clemson
Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney has (kind of) followed in the footsteps of Georgia head coach Mark Richt and used his own money to compensate his assistant coaches.
Swinney is using $265,000 of the raise he is due for winning the ACC and putting it toward paying his assistant coaches more. Apparently, this doesn’t happen very often in college football, but Swinney apparently...

McD’s Week Eight College Football Picks
The only picks by an actual Indiana grad who prefers Indiana football to Indiana basketball. It’s an acquired taste.
What I’m watching this week (with my dad edition):
12 pm – Indiana at Iowa – I guess so my Hawkeye-fan dad can watch with me and make snarky comments the whole time. Guh. Indiana fans are going to laugh about this year one day in the future...
