Elks add former San Diego State QB Ryne Clark to the OF
From the Bend Elks
College of the Desert outfielder Ryne Clark will be in Bend for the 2012 summer. Clark transferred from San Diego State University where he played quarterback (photo) on the football team and outfielder on the Aztec baseball team. He's currently leading the team in hitting (.346 in 52 at bats) with 18 hits, including 5 doubles, 2 triples and 9 RBI's.

Football. Hillman Named an AP Third-Team All-American
San Diego State sophomore running back Ronnie Hillman has been named an Associated Press third-team All-American. The La Habra, Calif., native is the first Aztec since Larry Ned in 2001 (second team) to earn AP All-America honors.

San Diego State senior cornerback Larry Parker hopes to follow a long line of Aztecs' defensive backs who went on to play in the NFL. Ronnie Hillman focal point of San Diego State's talented offense
Against a CSU defense that was somewhat preoccupied with the passing threat posed by quarterback Ryan Lindley and a pair of receivers now playing in the NFL, Vincent Brown and DeMarco Sampson, freshman running back Ronnie Hillman ran for 151 yards and one touchdown last season to lead San Diego State to a 19-14 win over the Rams.
