This coming week features nine UMass Lowell commitments in 20 junior hockey games over five days, including one game which will feature three future River Hawks in USHL action together.
Corey Scammon, John Edwardh, Guillaume Leclerc, Tommy Panico, C.J. Smith and Nick Master are all schedule to play in three games each over the next week of junior hockey. Meanwhile, Ryan Collins, Colin O’Neill and Tyler Mueller only have two games each this week.
The captain of the Drayton Valley Thunder, Corey Scammon, will look to improve on the great season already for this new team. After spending last season with the AJHL’s Brooks Bandits, Scammon was traded to the Thunder before the start of the 2013-14 season. Last year Scammon had six points (all assists) over 27 games, while this season the defenseman already has five points (1g, 4a) over his first 17 games.
