Virginia Union's Dave Robbins Retires
Over his 30 year career in the CIAA, Robbins amassed 713 victories and three NCAA Division II championships. He holds the designation of being the first white basketball coach in the historically black athletic conference, and is the 26th coach in NCAA history to win more than 700 games.

Virginia Union Head Football Coach Resigns
Arrington Jones III, the head coach of the Virginia Union Panthers and 2007 CIAA Coach of the Year, resigned today citing "personal reasons." The university has named defensive coordinator Gregory Richardson to the head coaching position, effective immediately.
