''You've got to be in shape,'' senior Brandon Gibson said, shaking his head. ''Full-court defense all game is no joke.'' It's that frantic, full-court pressure that...

With a coaching background that includes stop at Louisiana Tech and Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M coach Gary Blair loves to root for the underdogs in the NCAA tournament. 2013 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Quinton Patton, WR, Louisiana Tech

"Ideal for a West Coast-focused offense that is willing to stretch vertically, Patton developed great chemistry with Colby Cameron at Louisiana Tech, and could develop that quickly at the NFL level to become a quarterback's favorite target, especially on timing routes. With a fun, team-spirited personality, he quickly becomes a favorite in the locker room, but leaves that...

Why Quinton Patton Will Prove To Be Best WR Of 2013 Draft Class

In 1985, four wide receivers were taken in the first round of the NFL Draft. While no one could have known that some guy named Jerry Rice would turn out to be the greatest receiver in NFL history, the class of pass catchers turned out to be “average” at best. Al Toon, Eddie Brown and Jessie Hester did nothing to distinguish themselves as great players.Fast forward 28 years later...

Code Red! New Louisiana Tech helmets revealed

Or something like that I suppose. In the latest uniform news as I return to college football blogging, after an extended personal holiday weekend, we have a new helmet to be worn by Louisiana Tech for the 2013 season. As you can see, the emphasis on the “T” is prominent as it is placed over the outline of the state of Louisiana, which resembles an “L.” In fact, this design...

Louisiana Tech unveils two new helmets, including Patriotic helmet

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs made a slight tweak to their standard helmet, changing the “T” on their helmet from white to red. Personally, I think the red looks much better on the new helmet and it blends together much better.  The white stood out too much and didn’t blend with the rest of the helmet as well.  Louisiana Tech is also going to wear a stars and stripes version...
