Mississippi State, Dan Mullen agree to contract extension

Mississippi State and Dan Mullen have agreed in principle to a contract extension running through 2017-18 season, according to a source. Mullen's contract can't run longer than four years because of Mississippi regulations, so the Bulldogs are essentially adding a year to Mullen's deal. The deal is not yet finalized.
