Speedster Tyreek Hill of Garden City (Kan.) Community College and Devante Averette, a standout linebacker from Ellsworth (Iowa) C.C., both signed on Wednesday with the Cowboys.
Much of the hype headed into the 2013-14 college basketball season was on the incoming freshmen class.
And for good reason. This as is good a crop as there's been in a while.
But two months into the season, it hasn't been all about the freshman. Yes, some have lived up to the billing, but many of the players who've had the biggest impact so far are ones who have been...

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State was ranked third in the Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings entering Tuesday night’s game at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Delaware State was No. 330 out of the 351 college basketball teams included in the ratings. It was an obvious mismatch and even though the Cowboys looked sluggish at times they still dominated en route to a 75-43 victory over the Hornets.

The "Pistols Firing" signal went out on social networking early Thursday afternoon causing Oklahoma State fans to start checking who in Athens, Texas was a candidate to be a Cowboy. Having a son as the defensive coordinator at NEO A&M and having been to Athens to see the Norsemen play the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals, I figured it might be a TVCC player.
