The Washington Huskies’ football team will be getting new Nike uniforms for the upcoming season. The threads will be unveiled Friday. The players, though, have already seen what they’ll be wearing.
Their reaction to the updated digs is in the video below. It’s not quite to the level of excitement Miami showed, but it’s still fun to watch, nonetheless.

Washington redshirt freshman cornerback Patrick Enewally on Thursday became the first player dismissed from the team by new coach Chris Petersen.
Enewally’s dismissal came after he punched a teammate in the face earlier in the week, a team source said. Enewally’s departure thins what was already UW’s thinnest position.
Sounds about right.

SEATTLE - Scrimmaging is always a major highlight of camp, and Thursday night saw the Washington Huskies go live for the first extended period since they kicked off spring football March 4th. The Dawgs went roughly 50 plays, split between Jeff Lindquist and Troy Williams at quarterback. The results, as you would expect, were mixed - depending on which side of the ball you were on.
Washington head coach Chris Petersen has not shut the door on a possible spring return for suspended quarterback Cyler Miles. Miles, the likely successor to NFL-bound Keith Price, was suspended by Petersen and the Huskies in early February following an off-field incident. Police decided not to press charges on Miles following an investigation, and that could mean Miles could return...
With practice number nine now in the books, the Washington Huskies have officially put on the pads and got down to some actual hitting and taking-the-player-down-to-the-ground tackling. It wasn't all that long - eight plays, to be exact - but the red zone scrimmage gave a taste of what's to come as UW starts to wind their way toward April 19th.
SEATTLE - Thirteen former Washington Huskies worked out Wednesday at the Dempsey Indoor Facility in front of scouts from nearly two dozen professional team during UW's annual Pro Day. Here is a primer on the day's events, including testing videos, interviews with quotes, and a 22-minute video of Keith Price's entire throwing session.
Probably the biggest gripe that anyone should have with April Fools’ Day isn’t the fact that people think they’re being funny when they’re not, but that people still constantly fall for the dumbest “jokes” in the book like they don’t even own calendars. Right behind that, though, my next complaint would be unoriginal jokes, or jokes that have been played so many times...
Washington Huskies coach Chris Peterson pranked his players with some ugly uniforms for an April Fools joke on Tueasday.
Peterson introduced two new uniforms that had a silly husky logo on the helmet a Washington “W” on the front of the jersey and “DAWGS” printed on the back of the pants.

Now that news of Desmond Simmons' decision to leave Washington is public, the Huskies have a spot to fill for 2014, and they may have already identified a potential suitor for Simmons' scholarship. His name is Kevin Ndahiro.
Desmond Simmons, a junior forward from Vallejo, Calif., has decided to transfer from the University of Washington. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Simmons started 10 games for the Huskies in 2013-14, and 35 games during his UW career, averaging nearly five points and five rebounds a game.
The Washington Huskies are a team in transition. They face the loss of the second-best scorer in the program’s history, as well as an unfinished roster with some big holes to fill. I'm not making excuses: Husky Basketball was really tough to watch this season. And not just for fans, but for media members as well.
Over the weekend college basketball fans were treated to a number of awesome games and great finishes, but for two schools there was also some news about the future that was pretty big. It seems that current and future players for the Texas Longhorns and Washington Huskies are going to need their passports in 2015.They are going to China.@SBNationGIF/TwitterThe two teams are going...

SEATTLE - The sun was out, the Washington Huskies were in Husky Stadium, and the pads were on for the first time all spring. Sounds like a recipe for a spirited practice, and it was - all 130 minutes of it. One notable player was back in action, one had to leave to attend class, one player had both plays of the day and one side of the ball had to run gassers - twice.
