Ever since Rohit Sharma was removed from the post of Mumbai Indians captain, there have been rumors of the Indian captain leaving the franchise. Many reports claimed that the Indian captain felt hurt by the way MI replaced him.

Addressing the rumors, former MI and CSK star Ambati Rayudu said Rohit Sharma could make the call on his future team. He also added that he wouldn’t be treated as poorly as he has been by any other franchise.

It's Rohit Sharma's call where he wants to go. All the IPL teams would love to have him as the captain. He'll go to a franchise that maybe treats him better than what has happened here.  Ambati Rayudu on Star Sports

The rumors of Sharma leaving MI started after he was removed from his role as captain of the team, only to be replaced by Hardik Pandya. Many reports also stated that the Indian opener was not informed by the team management about the change, with him finding about it online. It was also reported that there was an attempt to trade him to Delhi Capitals

Justin Langer wants Rohit Sharma at Lucknow Super Giants

Recently, Lucknow Super Giants uploaded a video of Justin Langer being interviewed by comedian Shubham Gaur. In the interview, the two spoke about Langer’s experience in India, his time with the Australian side as coach and player.

In the video, Gaur asked Langer about one player he would love to get in the upcoming 2025 IPL Mega Auction, where teams will be forced to release almost their entire squad. Langer kept thinking, but Gaur suggested Rohit Sharma’s name, which lit up the Australian.

Rohit Sharma? Hahaha. We're going to get him from Mumbai… Well, you better be the negotiator. Justin Langer said

Currently it looks like Sharma might enter the 2025 IPL Auction, ending his 15-year stay at the franchise. In those 15 years, he spent 11 years as captain, winning 5 IPL titles.
