On 16th April, results for the Union Public Service Commission were announced. Donuru Ananya Reddy, a 22-year-old candidate from Telangana, was ranked third across India and was immediately interviewed by the media. 

During one of her media interactions, Reddy revealed that her favorite player is Indian superstar Virat Kohli. She called Kohli a huge inspiration for her and learned many things from the Indian star like how disciplined and his never-give-up attitude. 

Virat Kohli, he is my favorite player, and I think he is a kind of inspiration and never-give-up kind of attitude he has. The discipline.  Ananya Reddy said

Many athletes have admitted they look up to Kohli and admire his attitude toward the sport. Olympics silver medalist PV Sindhu admitted she took inspiration from Kohli while going through a rough patch. 

Former RBI governor claims young India has Virat Kohli mentality

Raghuram Raghav, the former governor of the Reserve Bank of India, recently attended a conference in George Washington University. In the conference, he commented on how young entrepreneurs aren’t afraid to work outside India and are moving to Singapore and Silicon Valley. He claimed that the young Indians have the “Virat Kohli mentality”. 

They want to actually expand more globally. I think there is a young India that has a Virat Kohli mentality. I'm second to none in the world Raghuram Raghav said

Kohli currently leads the race for the Orange Cap in the IPL, with 361 runs in 7 innings. He has scored one century and two fifties, and has an overall strike rate of 147.34. He will next feature against rivals Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on 21st April. In their last meeting, Kohli scored an unbeaten 83*, but was heavily criticized for the “slow” innings
