Outside the Boxscore:
This year, Fox had studio host/sideline reporter Erin Andrews covering the Daytona 500 and prior to the start of the race, the producers had her do a walk-by near pit row.
As she attempted to get in touch with Danica Patrick, she ran into rapper 50 Cent just hanging out near the area.
As she began to talk to 50, he went for a hello kiss but ended up getting denied by Miss Andrews:
BEST OF MAXIM
You have to give Erin Andrews credit here for keeping it professional and classy as 50 Cent did his best to land a smooch prior to the Daytona 500. 50 Cent came in for the kiss which looked to be headed for Erin’s lips, but she pulled off an impressive pump fake and 50 was left planting a peck on Erin’s left cheek. Video: CUP: Erin Andrews vs. 50 Cent 50 Cent is no Squints Palledorous. The rapper got pulled in for an impromptu interview with FOX’s Erin Andrews before the Daytona 500 Sunday, and he got hilariously rejected on a kiss attempt after going with the “get a kiss or die trying” strategy. Andrews was looking to interview Danica Patrick when she spotted 50 and extended her arm...
At the Daytona 500, 50 Cent looked a little bit tipsy and went in to plant a kiss right on Erin Andrews lips. Erin recognized what he was trying to do and smoothly turned to the side so he had to settle for her cheek. I’m not lip-reader, but I’m pretty sure Erin says to him, “just kiss my cheek.” Poor 50, he got straight up rejected, can’t blame him for trying though...

50 Cent might have been a little liquored up or maybe just disappointed he isn’t going to get a dime of Floyd Mayweather’s $250 Million contract with Showtime/CBS, but he was trying to get it in with Fox Sports Erin Andrews.
Would this be considered sexual harassment? I am not sure what you would call it, but Andrews looked very uncomfortable while trying to get away from 50...
Probably not the first—or last—time 50 Cent gets denied.
Erin Andrews was covering Sunday’s Daytona 500 for FOX when, in an effort to track down Danica Patrick before the big race, ran into rapper of note 50 Cent, whom she went to interview. 50 Cent though, had other things on his mind when he spotted the comely reporter, and decided to go in for a full on lip lock upon her...
Prior to Sunday’s Daytona 500, FOX sent Erin Andrews on a mission to visit with Danica Patrick. On her way toward Danica while on live television, EA ran into a very eager 50 Cent just hanging out in the pit.
Once Andrews acknowledged that Fifty was there, Fifty went in for the money shot…and I’m not talking about a bro-hug.
Notice the stellar defense by Andrews.
And for the whole video…
The biggest headline heading into Sunday’s 2013 Daytona 500 was Danica Patrick becoming the first woman to ever win the pole position. That was until Erin Andrews, who was working her way through the crowded pit road to try to interview Danica Patrick, encountered a surprise visitor—rapper 50 Cent.
That quickly led to a stunning moment reminiscent of an intoxicated Joe Namath...
After 50 Cent tried to kiss Erin Andrews on-air at the Daytona 500, we got to thinking: What was the most awkward sports TV moment of all time?
FOX Sports reporter Erin Andrews was caught in the middle of an incredibly awkward moment before the start of Sunday's Daytona 500 when rapper 50 Cent went in for a kiss.
Andrews was surprised enough to see 50 Cent (a.k.a. Curtis Jackson) on pit road and invited him over for a live interview. Andrews was clearly caught off-guard by 50 Cent's move, but backed away just...
