Adam Levine chides Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani on upcoming wedding: 'I don't support their marriage'

Fans of The Voice will be nostalgically pleased with Adam Levine's latest visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The Maroon 5 frontman served as a coach on the NBC singing competition series for 16 seasons from its 2011 debut through May 2019, and Levine's sarcastically spiteful bromance with fellow OG (and still current) coach Blake Shelton became a Voice staple. So, it only makes sense that DeGeneres asked him about Shelton's upcoming marriage to Gwen Stefani. (Of course, their romance began while working together on The Voice.)

"I don't, uh, support their marriage," Levine said while looking down and unable to stop himself from laughing. "She's so cool, and he's not."

DeGeneres came to Shelton's defense, pointing out he's "very funny and very smart," but Levine would only concede that the 44-year-old country star is "vaguely charming."

"I miss this," Levine added. "I missed making so much fun of him. I'll go to the wedding, and I'll object. I will probably not be invited now that I'm saying this on live television. But I'll be there somehow."

Shelton and Stefani got engaged last October, and the latter dished some details on the proposal in January:

DeGeneres and Levine also discussed the three-time Grammy winner's new full-leg tattoo, quarantining with wife and his two daughters, and Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" video hitting three billion views on YouTube. Watch below.
