Olympic organizers have announced the details of a nationwide arts extravaganza coinciding with the London Games. Some 12,000 events will feature 25,000 artists - including representatives of every nation competing in the Summer Olympics that start July 27 and end Aug. 12. Artists including Cate Blanchett, Damien Hirst, Wynton Marsalis, Yoko Ono, Simon Rattle, Ai Wei Wei and are set to take part in the festival encompassing art, music, comedy and dance. Plans include a major concert featuring Jay-Z, Rihanna and Florence + The Machine. Some 100,000 fans are expected for the event, which will take place at the Hackney Marshes in east London.
