Dave Grohl
Last night in Park City, Utah, Dave Grohl and his supergroup, Sound City Players, made their live performance debut. Their performance was in support of Grohl’s documentary, Sound City, which made its premiere last night at the Sundance Film Festival. Some of the musicians from the show included John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, members from Nirvana, members from Rage Against the Machine, and Cheap Trick. The concert lasted over three hours according to Rolling Stone.
The Foo Fighters stepped aside and took over as the backing band for the night. Artists such as Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, and Rick Springfield played original songs as well as new material from the Sound City soundtrack. The next Sound City Players performance will be January 31st in Hollywood. The soundtrack will be released March 12th on Grohl’s Roswell Records, pre-orders are available now.
