The Sound City Studios is where Nirvana’s “Nevermind,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours,” Slipknot’s “Iowa,” and Rage Against the Machine’s self-titled album were all recorded. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has spent the last few months working on a movie that takes a time traveling journey into the history of the famous studio.
The rock doc Grohl has some pretty awesome appearances by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Tom Petty, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and Stone Sour, and Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme besides others on the movie, “Sound City.”
The bonus is that Grohl has had jam sessions with Corey Taylor as well as Stephen Pearcy of Ratt. There sounds as though more compilations are in store with other rock legends.
