The crew over at Hockey Night In Canada did a fantastic job throughout the playoffs with their montages, and they might have saved the best for last. Pairing fantastic highlights from the playoffs with the Rolling Stones “Gimme Shelter” was just amazing.

Hockey Night in Canada is a tradition in Canada, but fans south of the border can appreciate the artistry in many of the show’s productions, too.
As the 2013 season wrapped up on Monday night, CBC aired one more of its famous montages to send the season off on the right foot, set to the soulful sounds of The Rolling Stones and “Gimme Shelter.” Check it out in the video below...

I'm all for video montages becoming a staple of networks signing off their sports coverage for a given year. CBS has done it for years with One Shining Moment and the NCAA Tournament and CBC put one together after the Blackhawks defeated the Bruins in Game 6 to lift the Stanley Cup. CBC's video packages are traditionally excellent and this is no exception. As a bonus...
