PLAYERS: Jada Pinkett
We all know about the old Statue of Liberty play but now you can add another ruse to your sandlot offensive arsenal. El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, Calif.) junior varsity quarterback Jahlil Pinkett lines up behind center, bends down to receive the snap, and — requests a new football from the sideline? The Cleveland defense didn't understand it either, as El Camino Real pulled off the most incredible trick play of the season.  Pinkett, who is the nephew of Jada Pinkett Smith, walked toward the sideline holding the ball out. The coaches on the sideline feigned concern that he had an improper football and needed to replace it with an official pigskin. As soon as the convincing Pinkett got close to the sideline, he tucked the ball under his arm and sprinted down the sideline for a totally legit — albeit deceptive — touchdown. The reaction on the video says it all. "I can't believe that worked." Unethical? Maybe. But Jahill's run was a performance worthy of his uncle Will. And nobody ever said the acting game was fair.

During a 52-6 victory, El Camino Real quarterback Jahlil Pinkett takes the snap, and calmly starts strolling toward the sideline, seeming to request a new football. Everyone -- and we mean everyone -- on both sides lets up as Pinkett...

California’s El Camino Real’s JV football team pulls off trick play (VIDEO)

On the first play of the game Friday, Pinkett took the snap and started walking to the sideline while shouting, “Coach, wrong ball.” ...

Video: High school quarterback pulls a fast one on defense, scores touchdown

It's the oldest football trick in the book. And El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, Calif.) ran it to perfection last Friday.Watch as junior varsity quarterback Jahlil Pinkett, who just so happens to the nephew of Jada Pinkett Smith, pulls a fast one on Cleveland High School, by pretending to act as if there was something wrong with the football, then darts away from the defense...
