Mike Tyson and Entourage creator Doug Elin are teaming up to produce a drama series for HBO inspired by Mike Tyson’s youth. Tyson’s wife Lakiha Tyson will also serve as co-executive producer. The show titled, Da Brick will be directed by Spike Lee. Check out the details: “described as a contemporary exploration of what it means to be a young, black man in supposedly post-racial America, Da Brick is set in current-day Newark, NJ, nicknamed “brick city.” Tyson appeared on an episode of Entourage in the show’s seventh season. I hope this project makes it through development. With the final season of Entourage set to begin soon, I need something to replace it. Considering their initial vision for this project was a blend of Entourage and The wire, I’m fairly certain this will fit the bill!
