As part of the promotional tour surrounding her appearance on the cover of the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, a much warmer and more appropriately dressed Kate Upton appeared on the Today show on Tuesday morning to describe the harrowing experience she and the rest of the photo shoot party endured to capture the breathtaking images of her posing in a bikini in a freezing Antarctica for this year’s issue.
“I was very surprised by the news that that’s where my shoot was going to be located,’’ she said on TODAY Tuesday in her first interview since making the cover. “It was freezing. I’m from Florida, so it wasn’t great for me. When I came back I was losing hearing and eyesight because my body was shutting down, it was working so hard to keep warm. I was thinking warm thoughts.
“I could really only do it for a minute and then everyone would come running and throw blankets on top of me and they would build me like a little blanket cave. I really went all out on this. We went there thinking we might not even get a shot, and came back with the cover.”
Despite the brutally adverse conditions, Upton nevertheless managed to take in the wondrous splendor of the frozen yet majestic Antarctica surroundings, saying, “It was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been,’’ and adding, “Before I took off my coat, I would just enjoy the views. The mountains were pink and the water was glass. It was like little ice cubes were in the water. It was gorgeous.’’
Upton added that she was inspired by the local wildlife. “The penguins kept me going,’’ she said. “They’re adorable, and any time I was like, ‘I can’t take any more, I can’t,’ I would look at them and I was like, ‘OK, for them.’’’
It didn’t take long for Kate Upton to become a polarizing figure. In the span of little more than a year, Kate Upton was a little known model on the rise to omnipresent supermodel to Kate Upton backlash. We’ll see what happens when these Kate Upton body paint photos start circulating. Apparently, a lot of people don’t appreciate her popularity, and think she’s fat.
As I argued on Tuesday, what’s the point in being resistant to the fact that this is Kate Upton’s world and we simply are living in it. And by “living in it,” I of course mean that we are all like lemmings, unable to avoid the lure of the next batch of Kate Upton photos or her latest video or whatever. But instead of perilously leaping off a cliff like the aforementioned...

I am sure Sports Illustrated makes a much money from online advertising as the do from the Magazine, so that is why they have put all the photos of swimsuit models up online.
You can check out the best of Kate Upton above.
She is so blessed.
Becoming the first model since Tyra Banks to appear on the periodical’s cover in consecutive years, top-heavy sexpot Kate Upton is again featured on the front of the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Despite being one of the most exquisite … Continue reading →
The much-antipiated Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition was released earlier this week. Kate Upton snagged the coveted cover spot for the second year in a row, a feat that has not happened since Tyra Banks covered back-to-back issues in 1996 and 1997. While the magazine means endless opportunities for a model’s career, it’s also a business booster for featured apparel and accessory...
Skullcandy, Big Boi, Stevie Johnson, Electronic Arts, and Kate Upton have all joined forces on this episode of “Take A Supermodel To Work Day”. Poor Kate is brought into the studio to learn all about music producing but Big Boi and Stevie are too busy playing video games to take much notice of her.
Obviously, this is a work of fiction in the most extreme sense.

It’s a repeat for Kate Upton.
The 20-year-old model is gracing the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue for the second consecutive year. The location for the 2013 cover shot was a bit different than the previous year, though — Upton traded Australia for Antarctica this time.
This is also a milestone for the issue itself, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary...

The Miami Heat like the New York Knicks are extremely confident about being able to re-sign their star player. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald is reporting that the Heat fully expect to re-sign LeBron James after he weighs all his options. The Heat fully expects James will re-sign. One associate of James told me that he still makes the Heat the clear favorite to keep James...
To say Johnny Damon is modest would be an understatement. Prior to the 2014 season, the former outfielder announced to the world that he was available to play and/or manage…but only at the Major League level. Now, the 40-year-old would like the world to know that he’s better than half of the guys out there earning a paycheck swinging a bat on a daily basis. “When you feel...
Fulham manager and former German national team player Felix Magath ripped Landon Donovan via Facebook on Friday for being critical of Jurgen Klinsmann and the US National Team. Magath wrote the message in his native German, but the translation indicates he was praiseworthy of the job Klinsmann did. Here’s a Google translation of his comments: […]
Nikola Mirotic has secured a $3 million buyout with Real Madrid in order to come to the Chicago Bulls, reports HoopsHype. Mirotic was the 23rd overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and has since developed into one of Europe's best forwards. Because he was drafted three years ago, Mirotic is not subject to the rookie salary-cap scale, and the Bulls likely will need to use some of...
The Los Angeles Clippers pulled off what very well may be the coup of free agency so far (Shaun Livingston for the Warriors was a great move as well) by signing seven footer Spencer Hawes to a four year 23 million dollar deal.Adrian Wojnarowski for Yahoo Sports: Free-agent 7-footer Spencer Hawes has reached agreement on a four-year, $23 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers...
Do Raiders fans ever get sick of the re-location rumors? Decades of constant moving, moving back, rumors of moving back to the place they moved from and then moved back to but decided not to move from before moving back to that place, have produced more excitement than the franchise’s on-field product over the past decade. NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle with Raiders owner Al Davis...
Being perfectly honest, I don’t think Derrick Rose is really interested in Carmelo Anthony coming to the Chicago Bulls. But that’s not something he’d publicly admit to. During Melo’s trip to Chicago on Wednesday, it was reported that DRose had changed his stance on not recruiting the Knicks forward, by working out for Melo and attending dinner. But now, it seems as if those...
Following up on a previous post, the Oakland Athletics have apparently decided to go all in for the 2014 season. The Los Angeles Clippers have been rumored to have interest in signing Paul Pierce, who has obvious ties to current Clippers coach Doc Rivers. However, a sign and trade with the Nets is really the only plausible way the Clips can do so while meeting a reasonable figure for Pierce financially. Initial reports said that Nets GM Billy King was not interested at all in this scenario...
