I know many of you are suffering from Ron Burgundy overload with Will Ferrell seemingly everywhere under the sun in the past couple weeks.  I get that.  The man has a movie to promote (and the ferocity of said promotion makes me worried Anchorman 2 might not quite live up to the lofty heights of its predecessor), but he's been literally everywhere.

Burgundy/Ferrell made his scheduled appearance on The Dan Patrick Show Thursday morning before the Jameis Winston news broke in the afternoon in a bit of fortunate timing for the program.  The highlight of the two-hour appearance was Burgundy reenacting some of the greatest announcing calls of all time.  The "call" of Doug Flutie's hail mary is particularly funny, almost Anchorman I quality.

[Dan Patrick Show]

More from Awful Announcing:
  • Is anyone else sick of this guy?? He's coming back as one of the least funny characters in movie history, and has been promoting this movie for over 6 months... enough, he's not that funny!!
  • AMEN. Once was enough. I doubt the film breaks even.

WATCH: Will Ferrell plays some golf on a simulator as, well you know

Follow @ChiGolfRadio Well I’m sure the Ron Burgundy stuff is getting tired but I’d figure I’d join the party because I like Will Ferrell not only because he’s a good actor but he’s a huge sports fan and seems like a nice guy. Will has been ALL OVER THE PLACE promoting his new movie, “Anchorman 2″ and he’s been doing his share of sports related things lately because...

ESPN releases full Ron Burgundy interview with Peyton Manning, and it is hilarious (Video)

Earlier this week, ESPN teased an interview with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning conducted by Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy as part of his promotional tour for the upcoming movie Anchorman 2.The interview was originally scheduled to be aired on Thursday's 6PM episode of SportsCenter, but was preempted due to a scheduled press conference regarding the decision by Florida...

Will Ferrell Is Hosting SportsCenter Tomorrow In Character As Ron Burgundy

In case you don’t own a television, haven’t spoken to another human being in at least a year, and you never ever leave your home, you might not know that Anchorman: The Legend Continues opens on December 20. Otherwise, chances are that you have seen no less than 8 billion marketing efforts involving the main character of Anchorman, Ron Burgundy, from his Dodge Durango ads and...

Jennifer Lawrence slowed down sounds EXACTLY like Will Ferrell

Ron Burgundy over-promotion getting way out of control

Will Ferrell has been heavily promoting the Anchorman sequel to “The Legend of Ron Burgundy.” It’s getting pretty absurd, the over-promotion of the film, and we still have two weeks to go until the movie comes out. Thursday’s 6 p.m. SportsCenter was slated to be hosted by Ron Burgundy and Champ Kind, characters – played by Ferrell and David Koechner, respectively – in...

Ron Burundy takes football to the groin on Dan Patrick Show (Video)

Sooner or later Will Ferrell will stop parading around every network dressed up as Ron Burundy. But until then we will be bombarded with videos of the actor in stunts such as this. On Thursday morning Ferrell appeared on the Dan Patrick Show and participated in a game of ‘Flinch Ball.’ Personally I’m not the biggest fan of Dan Patrick and find most of his segments corny but...

Ron Burgundy Visits Dan Patrick Show, Re-Enacts Historic Sports Calls (Video)

Will Ferrell is doing everything possible to promote his new Anchorman 2 movie, and on Thursday, he proved that Ron Burgundy is not only capable of reading the news, he can also call some of sports’ most historic moments. After his scheduled appearance to host Thursday’s 6 p.m. SportsCenter was cancelled by ESPN because of the situation surrounding Florida State quarterback...

In Case Your Ron Burgundy Fatigue Hasn’t Peaked, Here He Is Covering Iconic Sports Broadcasting Calls

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a movie more vehemently marketed to sports fans than Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. It doesn’t even open until December 18 and already we’ve had Will Ferrell in-character hosting Canadian Olympic curling trials, an Anchorman interview with Peyton Manning and a planned hosting gig on SportsCenter that got canceled when awful things happened...
