After Thursday’s announcement that Ben Affleck would be taking over for Christian Bale as Batman, the Internet got its collective panties in a bunch, criticizing the casting choice in every way imaginable. The reaction was predictable for two reasons: 1) It’s the Internet, and 2) We’ve been through this before, as you can see by the ********* that hit the web in 2007 following the announcement that Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker.
