With reigning Olympic champ Lysacek out for Sochi, who can step up
Olympic figure skating champion Evan Lysacek says he's doing double and triple jumps in practice as he tries to come back from injury in time to defend his title in Sochi.
The American tore the labrum in his left hip in a fall on a quad in training Aug. 21. He hasn't competed since winning gold in Vancouver in 2010, sidelined last year by a torn abdominal muscle.

Evaluating last year’s ground game as a whole is pretty laughable. As I’ve said many times, there’s a reason Romo had to chunk it...
Former figure skater Michelle Kwan announced that she is engaged to marry Clay Pell, a member of the White House's national security staff.
"It was a simple decision and it made sense," Kwan, 32, told People magazine.
Wow, that sounds so romantic.
Kwan, 32, won nine U.S. figure-skating championships, five world championships and two Olympic medals before retiring...
