Formula E: Rowland heartbreak during Misano E-Prix
IPA

Oliver Rowland has lost Race 2 of the Misano E-Prix in the worst way. He finished the energy a few meters before the checkered flag.

The Nissan driver collected the second win of Season 10 during Race 1 after Antonio Felix Da Costa was disqualified. Today he led Race 2 until the final lap. Rowland, who pushed for more than twenty laps fighting for the victory, finished the energy a few turns before the end, with the car stopping on the side of the track. The abrupt end of the race was heartbreaking for Rowland, who dreamed of conquering both wins in Misano.

Porsche driver Pascal Wehrlein was able to capitalize and won the Misano E-Prix. Wehrlein and Rowland were in a fierce battle for the race win in the final stages of the race. Prior to Rowland’s problem it appeared the Nissan driver had finally managed to build a gap. Due to Rowland’s car slowing down it gave the opportunity to Jake Dennis, Nico Muller and Nick Cassidy to fight for second place. In the end it was Dennis who took P2. Behind the Andretti Driver action was excited as Cassidy tried everything to pass Muller. Incredibly, the New Zealander was able to take P3 at the line with just 0.05s in it.
