Fred Vasseur claims he believes in ‘power’ of groups than one individual amidst Adrian Newey Ferrari rumors
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The announcement of Adrian Newey leaving Red Bull broke havoc in the paddock. Subsequently, rumors regarding the Brit’s next move became the most debated topic and every expert claimed that Newey would like to join the legendary manufacturer, Ferrari, to end his career. However, amidst such rumors, Fred Vassuer has dismissed these claims with a clever answer in a recent interview.

Adrian Newey joined Red Bull in 2006 and remained at the helm of the aerodynamics department for almost two decades owing to his vast experience and dozens of championships he earned in the time frame. However, this changed recently as the design wizard decided to quit the team after an unsettling few months. This spooled up the rumors of his arrival at Maranello with his availability for the 2025 season.

On the contrary, with all stars lining up toward a move to Ferrari, Fred Vasseur subsequently extinguished such rumors.

Adrian[Newey] is a reference for all of Formula 1 for his experience and his palmarès, he is perhaps the one who has the most experience of all. Having said that, I believe much more in the group than in individuals. Part of the success always comes from the power of the collective, in the fact that everyone knows and is convinced of the role they have in the system, I will always be the one who will push on the importance of this thesis Fred Vasseur said in an interview with La Repubblica

The Frenchman claimed that Newey was a benchmark for every designer on the grid. However, his past record is insufficient for a team to work as an outfi requires thousands of brains to operate simultaneously. This statement was interpreted as Ferrari’s chance to downplay the move, as speculations have been boiling around for weeks, and the Scuderia does not want to commit themselves earlier to a major decision.

Fred Vasseur claims Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are in honeymoon phase

On one hand, the prancing horses are driving rumors about the arrival of Newey. However, on the other, the Scuderia acquired the services of Lewis Hamilton for the 2025 season and is quite excited about it.

Subsequently, the 55-year-old claimed that Charles Leclerc and Hamilton have been getting up well together.

They have already started to get a little closer in these last two months, it’s a training period, like a honeymoon.

Fred Vasseur said in an interview with La Repubblica

When Hamilton was signed to the Italian squad, rumors fled the paddock regarding how the stable team dynamics would be affected. But according to the Frenchman, the pair have gotten a lot closer in the last few months and appeared to be in a honeymoon phase.

Despite Vasseur’s optimism, there are major concerns regarding the clash that could ensue in Maranello. Moreover, both drivers have the hunger to win a world championship and this could be harmful for the team as a whole if both of them start tripping over each other in races next year.
