Sergio Perez claims he’ll be ‘100 percent’ in F1 next year amidst Carlos Sainz’ Red Bull rumors

Sergio Perez , the Red Bull F1 driver, has been making his trade with the team since 2021. Over the years, he has had a pretty up-and-down run with them but after a decent start to the ongoing season, he has admitted that he is confident of securing a seat for next year.

Sergio Perez‘s current deal with Red Bull will come to a close at the end of this year. Moreover, for the 2025 seat on the Milton-Keynes-based team, there is some serious competition from the lights of Ferrari star, Carlos Sainz.

In recent times, the Spaniard has been heavily linked with Red Bull regarding the 2025 campaign.

At the end of the day, I've been a longtime in this sport, but I'm only 34. And when you see all the drivers carrying on, we see these days a lot longer careers. I'm still very fresh and very motivated. I have no doubt that 100 per cent I will be here next year. Sergio Perez said in an interview with racingnews365

The vastly experienced Mexican driver has made his intentions quite clear in the above statements. Perez wants to continue at the pinnacle of motor racing and given his recent performances, he genuinely feels that he will find a seat on the grid even if Red Bull does not offer him a contract extension for next year.

Sergio Perez feels the driver market is moving ‘quite fast’

This year, F1 has seen quite a few major off-track developments. From Lewis Hamilton signing with Ferrari to Fernando Alonso recently committing his future to Aston Martin, a lot has happened.

Keeping all this in view, Sergio Perez feels it’s important to get the contract-related things done as quickly as possible.

Alonso’s recent contract extension has launched things into overdrive in the driver’s market. Several teams have been scrambling to get the driver pairing sorted for next year and considering this, it can be said that the heat is really on! As things stand, Sergio Perez has a good chnace to secure a contract extension at Red Bull.
