A country music singer threw some major shade at the Tennessee Vols on Friday night in Lexington ahead of UT's big basketball game against the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday in Rupp Arena.
Country singer Riley Green, who is from Alabama, has a popular song called "Hell of a way to go" that features the lyrics ""Or maybe on a fifty-yard line watching Alabama whoop up on Tennessee".
On Friday night, Green performed the song in Lexington. Before playing the song, Green told the pro-Kentucky crowd that they didn't need to be Alabama fans to enjoy the song, they just needed to "simply not be a Tennessee fan".
Green then changed the lyrics of the song to "maybe on the 50 yard line, watching Kentucky beat the s--t out of Tennessee".

Green must not be familiar with the Tennessee/Kentucky rivalry because watching Kentucky beat the s--t out of Tennessee isn't something that happens....ever.
By the way, Green recently played in Knoxville. And he sang the pro-Alabama song in front of a crowd full of Vols fans. And he got booed.
Green might want to leave Knoxville off his next tour. Or maybe just leave that song off the set list if/when he returns to East Tennessee (or at least don't sing about Alabama beating Tennessee in Knoxville!).
