Howard Bison Earns First Trip To The Celebration Bowl

Head coach Larry Scott and the Bison did the unthinkable last week in their statement-making payback victory against the 2022 HBCU National Champions from North Carolina Central. The "Real H.U." delivered a 50-20 knockout punch to the Eagles' solar plexus, leading NCCU to receive an at-large berth to the first round of the 2023 FCS Playoff.

Howard is going to the 2023 Celebration Bowl after winning the 2023 MEAC Football title. It's the Bison's first trip to the event following defeating Morgan State 14-7 in front of a home crowd. Coach Scott and his troops will await the 2023 SWAC Football Championship game-winner between FAMU and Prairie View A&M at Bragg Memorial Stadium on Dec. 2.

The MEAC holds a 6-1 lead in the Celebration Bowl.
