The Oklahoma State Cowboys have reportedly parted ways with basketball head coach Mike Boynton, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. Boynton was with the program for seven seasons before the program decided to turn to a new direction.

Oklahoma State's decision to move on from Boynton comes after another incredibly underwhelming season. The Cowboys posted a 12-20 record on the season, while going 4-14 in conference play.

Boynton's time in Stillwater will be marked by his incredible recruiting, which saw former No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham play for the Pokes. The on-court product never came to fruition, though, forcing the Cowboys into a new direction.
